Akeydor’s Trackunit for Marine maintenance of Marine engines
Marine engines need as every engine to be serviced regularly. However, the marine environment doesn’t allow this always as easy as it is in the car and truck business where workshops are present along the road in almost every city and country.
In order to ensure the service business, machine manufacturers equip the engines with Trackunit in order to monitor the operating hours.
The Service Center has a permanent view on the boats/ships.
This is important to have a view on the actual location of each vessel in case of ‘urgent’ service need
The view shows:
-position of all vessels under service contract
– activity of the vessels ( parked, navigating, …) by colors
– focused view of one unit if necessary with direction and speed in knots
– status of the connectivity of the vessel/trackunit ( GPS, GSM, Power Supply and Battery)
Maintenance follow up
Each marine engine has a specific service program (hours when service is needed ) which has been defined in the ‘Maintenance’ page of the Trackunit Manager platform
Automatic information of needed service
The Trackunit Manager platform has an automatic mail engine which can inform people about the next upcoming service needs: Manufacturers send an email to invite the user whose boat engine will need service into the next 25 hrs. The text of the email message can be totally customized by the service center.
