Akeydor’s Team climbed to the top of mountain Taygetus on an overnight expedition, to reach the top at 7am and admire the Pyramid view of the mountain!
The perfect imitation and shadow of a “pyramid,” as researchers describe it, is a natural phenomenon visible only from the mountain’s peak. The shadow of Mount Taygetus’ summit (when weather conditions permit early in the morning) creates a perfect triangle above the Messinian Gulf. In reality, it is the summit of Mount Taygetus, forming the perfect triangle that reflects above Messinia, opposite the sunrise.
Akeydor Digital reached the summit of Mount Taygetus from the EOS Sparta shelter during a nocturnal, adventurous ascent that required immense effort, exhaustion, and culminated in the perfect reward at the Prophet Elias chapel at the peak, standing at 2,410 meters. The journey involved a nighttime climb on a challenging trail, with perfect weather conditions at dawn. Careful planning, preparation, mental resilience, courage, and effective communication were essential in accomplishing such a significant effort and goal.
